William the 5ar4 gz34 will put out more than the 5r4.The coke bottle 5r4 sounds fantastic.I should have told you to do that but i wasnt thinking.You could have a bad 6l6g tho..The numark and the cbs brand seemed to have reliability issues at times even with the ones I have..The RCA and Syl tho no problems on the 6L6g.Did you do what I told you in your amps william because you seem to have lot of problems with amps burning up lately and I know you have all vintage amps like I do?. This is precisely why I mod my amps with new and more filter capacitance and new coupling caps and metal films and CC resistors so i dont have problems.There isnt a Dynaco amp I get in for service that doesnt need its selenium rect changed and the bias electrolytics along with the 10k resistor.My black plate tubes like my 6L6gc RCAs and the TS 6550 black plates sometimes have a slight orange glow on one side of one part of the plate a bit but thats no big deal.As cheap as resistors and caps are dont screw around..Just change them.I added you to my yahoo messenger.
