Anon. You hit it right dead on the nose.The actual disspation is a little higher being graphite but that is wierd tho about the 210ma and of course i could run the other side hotter thats drawing 68ma but the side drawing 120ma bias on each tube is all the way up.Now this dynaco has the later thicker and heavier power tranny as opposed to the earlier ones and I beefed up the B+ so that would account for the extra current capability.I didnt hear you down play rca black plates.As I recall you were praising them but as with anything they have problems we have to address as with any electronic circuit. It would be nice tho to be able to run the B+ up higher in the checker for actual shorts and leakage because many tubes wont produce a short until they reach their maximum operating parameters.
