Hi, anon. Very interesting McIntosh/tube divertissement. A sidebar: RCA could have used any power tube they wanted for certain amplifiers.
They chose the TungSol 6550. The Kinkless Tetrode-88 was based on the 6550, not the other way around.
What you did with the outboard power supplies and your McIntosh amps is exactly what I want to do with a SET amp. Did you take down your Lamda PS McIntosh rig because it took up to much space or what? I wish I could have seen and heard this set up! I hope you documented with pictures just because the whole idea is so great/outrageous.
