I am using the Sylvania 12AX7's that Kevin Deal sells at Upscale Audio. I love them and they sure are cheaper than Mullards or Telefunkens, both of which I have used in my C2200. For the 12AT7's I am using the Amperex with the orange print on them. I don't buy into the Mullard/Telefunken thing. I hate dealers telling me how "rare" they are, then I find them littered all over the internet with outrageous prices attached to them. If you have the money to throw around, buy what you like. One 12AX7 that I really do like is the Tesla ECC83(803S) that is sold by Tubemonger for $80 a pr, I believe. These aren't the crappy Yugo tubes being sold currently today. The Tubemongers have gold pins (not sure if that really does anything for you). Unfortunately I damaged one these tubes (my fault) and haven't replaced it. I would pony up for a pair of these!
