Hi there,
I've tried replacing the stock Chinese KT88s with well matched Svetlana "winged C" KT88s to good effect. I notice Roger Modjesky states that his stock 6BQ7 driver tubes can be replaced with "voltage matched" 6992s or 6H30s. Has anyone tried this and what were the sonic results? How carefully do the tubes need to be matched?
