If you're talking about max voltage/current capacity, then the grid and plate are strapped together. I believe this is how the BTA-50G was wired as a rectifier.Ultimate sonic performance occurs using only the perforated grid as the AC connection, with the plate left unconnected.
Max voltage/current must be derated with this approach. L-filter only.
