> down to 20mA losing their oomph.Sounds like low emission. Could still be a manufacturing issue, but bascially they are "worn out". There are processes that can be used to "regenerate" valves that have lost emission, but they are not for the fainthearted. Somethings to check in the amps, just to be sure, is the heatervoltage. If it's too high it will wear the valves quickly, if it's too low emission will be low.
