I have a Ming Da MC3008AB. It is a very nice sounding amp but I bought mine from Hong Kong and it is not without reliability problems--not major but annoying. The relay delay to the left 300b tube malfunctioned so that is being repaired. Also the power switch just went out on me. I also had to have the input selector fixed, but that also was not a big deal.Bill at Music Technologies upgraded the coupling capacitors to AuriCaps and put in higher-grade RCA inputs. This amp really sounds wonderful -- bass is strong and tight- every bit as powerful as that from my Parasound HCA1000. Very intimate sound on acoustic music especially strings. Piano is very real.
Bill was impressed with the build quality of the wiring and most of the components. He was amazed at what I paid for it and said he really thought it was a multithousand dollar amp. That said, there are some quality control issues on the amps bought overseas, as I've read on the forum, but this amp is by no means "junk" as some allege.
Consider buying from a US importer if you don't want to deal with these nuisances. I wish I found BIll a lot earlier, since it was hard to find a repair tech in the Baltimore area.
