I have 2 AES AE-3 pre amps and love them both. I purchased the first one with an AES super amp and still use that system.I purchased the second one to use with an AES SE1 with WE300B tubes. Sound was wonderful. Sold the SE1 last year because I had the urge to get a pair of monoblocks. Ended up with a pair of quicksilver mini monos which sound terrific with the AES AE-3.
Anything Dennis Had sells has terrific build quanlity.good luck
