The higher voltage filament will be thinner, which *COULD* change its behaviour.The fraction of bias voltage to filament voltage should be as high as is possible. the closer the end-to-end filament voltage is to the working bias voltage on the grid the more likely it is to hum. In the extreme case you'd have part of the grid going positive long before most of the rest did.
