As I mentioned in the other thread, just stay away from any coin-based 6SN7. Instead of experimenting with all these cheap tubes (they're cheap for a reason), get one or two pairs of recommended tubes. In the long run, you save money and the headache. If you want relatively cheap and readily available, the current batch of Electro Harmonix 6SN7s ain't half bad. They're certainly better then all the ones you've bought so far.
