I'm not saying the Tele's are poor-sounding; in fact they may be too good when matched with certain other items. To me, certain tubes match better with certain other tubes in the sysem. Tele's all the way through is a no-brainer. With some other tubes, others may combine for a more pleasing sound in my system, though.
