I second the fat bottle 6ca7 by EH, but you have to kiss some frogs here and bite the bullet and order two or three sets of different brands and try them all out. It's all personal opinion. They each have their own sound. I would hate to settle on an EH only to find out years later that I actually preferred the sound of the SED. It's really easy to resell EL34s on eBay with about a 25% loss, which is well worth the investment...
