1) The GE 6BQ5 grey oval plate. Consistantly outperforms other 6BQ5 manufactures in many 6BQ5 based amps. This includes the opinion of others as well.2) ProAc 2.5 Response speakers with upgraded audiophile quality crossovers. Bass response is fast (nicely in phase) to 30Hz and provides high resolution unlike larger slower responding woofers. The Scan Speak midbass driver & tweeter are well known to perform well. Plus, a tube friendly speaker if needing a few more watts due to midrange efficiency. Downfall- too expensive from ProAc so DIY is an option for tight budgets.
