If you are not using something like Herbie Tube Dampers (in fact, make sure it's Herbie's), you should try some before dumping serious $ on new tubes, especially since you said everything is good except highs. It's exactly in the highs that Herbie does its magic, smoothing and refining the treble while Extending it also.If you can find some 60's Siemens, that will be great, too, but you still need Herbies..
