Paul from Bizzybee recommends you give the amp at least 30 hrs to break in. Unfortunately this is my first tube amp so I can't make any comparisons but I did notice improvements in the bass and overall midrange, The highs seemed to smooth out a bit also after 30+ hrs. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase. I would give it a little more break in before your final evaluation if you purchased yours through Paul at Bizzybee he has several mods available that really put this amp in another league
