tried the Teslas, YET!I've seen some cool-looking old Teslas advertised on A'gon, by "Tubemonger" and also a fellow in the Czech Republic, who claims his Tesla EL34s were made in a different factory.
Oops, it just hit me that you were probably referring to the NEW JJ's...hmm, haven't tried those yet, either. I went from the Chinese stock EL34s to Mullard Xf2 single getters, to xf2 double-getters, and now to the Type One Philips'. In all honesty, I kinda' like the xf2 Mullards for jazz as they make horns sound lusciously euphonic, but play a classical LP and it's obvious that the Type One's are the better tubes...I simply hear more.
