Well, First swap tubes between channels and see if the problem moves with them. If it does, you have a tube going bad. If this does not move the problem, then it is likely a resistor that works well once it is hot. Other than that if could be a bad cap.You could also have a loose tube socket connection or a broken solder joint that is affected by heat.
