Have not purchased from Andy for over a year but I have often wondered why it always seems to take him a long time to deliver and why what he delivers is often a bit different than what he describes.I always suspected that perhaps he really does not have all of the tubes he claims to have in stock and therefore must go out and find them (eBay?) after he takes an order. He claims that it is all the fault of the extensive testing he does, and that he is very busy with lots of orders and requests and that the tests he performs on each tube for noise, etc. take much time.
When questioned about differences in the tubes delivered, he states that the ones he described over the phone did not test well enough so he had to make substitutions.
I know he sells a lot of tested "pulls" for quite high prices based on what he claims are extensive tests but I have no way to confirm or deny how valid those tests might be.
JMHO and YMMV and all that.
