Mike,I found that the VERY FEW KT-77 I've heard have a cleaner tone, bit more high end tone. Kinda similar to the 6CA7 coke bottles (the only ones I've heard old NOS varieties).
You may want this tube, in place the REAL KT-77, as the matched set of NOS KT-77 is EXTREMELY expensive.
