I recently purchase a set of Amperex 7308 PQ's from Upscale audio. I couldn't be happier with the sound and dynamics of these tubes. The Sovtek 6922's that came with my amp were thin sounding, with no dynamics, and just plain sucked. Dont know where you got them at but its possilbe they are fakes or old. I like mine so much i'll be ordering a backup set soon.
