B&K 747B: How to test EL37?

I'm using the 6L6 settings as recommended by the 747B tube chart with sensitivity set at 64 (just on top of my head). All the Mullard EL37s I have are reading 120+ and off the scale of the meter. I can get the reading down to within scale if I reduce the sensitivity to 55 but I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it. Any sugggestions? TIA!

Don't think EL37 / 6L6 / KT66 and EL34 / 6CA7 are interchangeable. (nt) - MM 19:31:10 06/05/04 (0)
