I'd look at putting some softer furnishings in your room. Do you have floorboards or carpet? If you have boards I get a rug for the floor infront or your gear.I have a rug on the wall behind my speakers as well.
You may have to work with speaker placement more carefully. The room is your greatest accoustic factor. We all play with our gear a lot more (its more fun) than the room in general.regards
