With the tweeter and a proper crossover, overall speaker system sensitivity will likely be lower. BTW, if the Dayton crossover is one of those off-the-shelf, fits-all generic ones from PE or such, then you owe it to yourself to design a crossover specifically for your drivers and enclosure- that's where your biggest improvement will be realized. The Wave 8's have only 8-ohm output tranformer taps, but the rule of thumb for tube amps is that speaker impedance should be equal or lower than that specified at output tap(s). I'm using a similar 8-watt/channel tube amp with 85-87dB speakers in a room twice as large as yours with fine results.
