Are you refering to ECC801s` or Telefunken tubes in general? If so, I`d have to correct you. Among others I have some Telefunken EL84s without the diamond on the bottom that are definitely Telefunken made(1950s). Printing says B.iv.00 or B EM 00. They came out of a Telefunken Radio and were in there from the beginning.
Late(1970s) ECC801s were often east german sourced, not to be looked down upon...Greetings from Berlin,
