KevinLet'set a few facts straight. I just said in my first post that I have a different opnion. I was not even going to say which tubes I like if I weren't asked specifically by Russ57. And I am entitled to my opninion, regardless of what you think.
Your view could of course differ. But calling other people's opnion "friggin' weird" just because you think those tubes are rare is downright rude, to say the least. And just because you don't have these for sale does not mean they are that rare.
I have seen the Whyteleafe B309 at eBay many times during the last year and they were only something like $10 to $20 a piece, if one knows how to identify them. I bet a lot tube lovers have the A2900, especially those who happen to be in Europe or England. The Valvo coinbase ECC81 shows up regualrly at eBay Germany, normally for a few bucks only. To bad they ain't available in bulk packs of 200 for tube dealers to snatch them and resell with a 500% mark-up.
