hhhhmmmm....the D getter over the halo. I have many matched quads of both and in fact, this is my favorite 12AX7 ECC82 type by far. As far as the the D being in a different league, I would disagree. My opinion is that they are both just absolutely excellent tubes with wonderful air and transperancy and great HF abilities. I have used both in many different pieces of equipment over the years and do not find that one trumps the other in sound at all. Just my 2 cents worth. And I am sorry, but none are for sale.Bal
