I said that the '5' denotes Toshiba, Tokyo, Japan, not Matsushita.Matsushita Electric Corp. in Takatsuki, Japan used an 'N' and did GEC and Mullard supplies.
Matsushita Electric Corp.'s factory in Kyoto, Japan used a small 'n' according to the somewhat comprehensive factory code sheet that I have here for Philips/Valvo/Mullard.
To be far, it doesn't list a factory in a Sittard outside of the UK.
