Re: 6BQ5/EL84 are there any Beam Tetrode 9-pin equivalents

What's the plate voltage in the Leak Stereo 20?

6BW6: basically a 6V6 type in B9A envelope. Gain is less, so more drive signal is required. Bias resistor change required.

7558: US industrial type, B9A, good for about 20 watts in PP AB1.

6CH6: B9A video pentode, very similar operating conditions with slightly lower power output. a.k.a. CV4055, CV2127. Specs available at retrovox datapage

N78: GEC pentode, B7G. Operating conditions very close to 6BQ5 (within maximum ratings). A 9K PP laod is spec'd, most 6BQ5 spec 8K. a.k.a. CV4062, CV3711. Specs available from TDSL3. Pic shows CV3711

There are a number of other B9A pentodes, usually used for RF or video amplifier service, that will work in audio applications
