has been misinterpreted by you, I believe. Our negativity is directed toward those that unabashedly deceive good people by selling them a pile of hooey. This seller has already cashed your check and is spending your money. The way I see it, 2/3 of what you paid him was ill-gotten. We are trying to ensure that others are not taken in the same fashion. We have no beef with you. Sadly, you are in the unpleasant position of being the "example".If you are indeed a lawyer, you ought to throw a little trouble his way to prevent this from happening to other good folks.
To be honest with you, I think most of the people who are posting here saw through the scam in half a second. The reason we are posting these longwinded baby-step arguments is to help steer away the new folks who don't have the faculties to recognize this kind of scam on their own (yet). We are trying to help them hone their skills so that they themselves will see the nature of this type of auction. Next time they catch a whiff of these turds, they can run before stepping into the pile!
The fact that you are happy with the tubes in your system is the one succesful part of this story. The simple fact remains, you received tubes that were, in my opinion, sold in an auction that was designed in an effort to deceive the trusting and naive. Now you'll have to go out and spend another couple hundred getting the "real" 6922's and have a listen at how they sound.
Watch out for the next wave of gold-plated tubes, the very rare Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8 with gold pins! Just discovered in a cache of junk being stored in a tunnel beneath Mont Blanc, they were only used to run the cable cars up and down the Alps due to the sensitive nature of the machinery. An occasional one found its way into some tube-driven Black Forest cuckoo clocks that were built for royalty and designed for continuous operation, never missing a cuckoo! Very rare, indeed. Priced at only $250 a pair. Start the line here and send me an email with your orders! My plating shop will have them ready by this weekend!!!
Somewhere I read on the internet that the Bugle on the tube was actually a bird-caller, put there to represent calling the cuckoo's home to roost, rest assured, we are already home!
