Milos,I have long been interested in the old Raytheon 5814s- especially the triple mica version, but have never had one. I've missed a few pf the JRC RCA triple micas too. Actually, as I have aboout 35- NOS ECC82 and variants and my euqipment only use five (McIntosh MX110 (1), MC240 (2), Scott 330D tuner (2), these days I only shop for the kind of tubes in your list. I'd love to get the right Amperex 7316 for the MX110.
The CBS 5814A is an an interesting tube - to me it is almost the perfect balance of smooth/liquid and detail, great bass and easy transition into the high treble. Very, very nice. I would use this in more modern equipment as I like the faster, punchier Siemens 5814A for the McIntoshes which are rather dark sounding. This is another reason that the very peppy RCA cleartop is so nice too- they certainly wake up the old McIntosh.
Brimar sidegetter: I bought several NOS of the Brimar sidegetters ECC82 three years ago and haven't seen another one advertised since that time. For some reason I keep missing trying these as they are in deep, far away boxes. But there are some that have tried them and seem highly convinced:

I have two Brimar Cleartop D 'side getters'... and they are the absolutest, bestest tube in the Cleartop universe. Mine are for sale for $31,582.42, if anyone is interested?
No tire kickers, please.

PS: But for the cleartop, they really look nothing like the RCAs, internally." << END QUOTE
So, I'm hopeful that these are so wonderful! The $31,000 price suggests to me a reluctant sale..
I'm actually pleased to hear that the Telefunken ECC802S are not the ultimate tube, I've been toying with pursuing those (as the McIntosh and Scott both came with Telefunken ECC82 new), but these are often $100 each now. These would have to be fantstically wonderful for that price. But, I haven't often read anyone who is very attached to the sound- these seem to be more admired as beautifully made tubes that will also last forever than as sonic nirvana. I have actually quite a few Telefunken tubes in various equipment, but have bought very few pieces myself. I tend to gravitate towards Siemens and Philips/Holland for preamplifier tubes. RCA and Sylvania for the "Amurkans".
