I think 6072's interchange with 12AY7's, don't they? I seem to remember that from ny tube rolling days with my EAR 834P. With my 834P, I got just amazing detail and air with a Pearl Cryovac'd Brimar 6072 in the V3 position, but it was a bit too bright in that app.
