Do like bass??? Some amps do it better than others, and IMHO this tips the balance for what you will be listening to. And can you build a kit??? If so, there are tons of possibilities. And Class AB is the only reasonable way to get enough power for real world speakers, unless you got Altecs....here come the flames....What are you looking at? How much do you want to spend? I heard some Quicksilver MidMonos recently, 50watts a side about $1850 USD. Very nice and they won't heat the house. Used Audio Research is worth considering too. In any case, try it at home before you buy, it's the only way to tell if it's right for you.
