I would disagree, but it's very much up to your own ears. My Quads are some 40,000 units apart, but I think they are as well matched as any others I've heard. But on the other hand, I'm not so sure that my ears are well matched! I would certainly agree that it's important to get someone knowledgeable to check out the amps before you attach them to your ESLs though!
