For those who rip, I finally got EAC to work on my computer.
On the EAC link---one little boo-boo...

1.) Under TOOLS option:
Remove the option for "On Extraction, start external compression, in the background." "UN-"X" it.

2.) Also, under INTERFACE option...
Use the "Installed External ASPI Interface" option. You can download the proper ASPI.SYS file from the Nero or Roxio website, as was relayed to me by others, onthis site.
I'm using XP Pro with Service Pack 2 (2003) and EAC works with these options.
