I just experienced a Svetlana 6L6 arc at the screen area in a Fender Blackface. Plate voltage was close to 500 volts. A plate voltage of 450 is a better for new stock as most new stock tubes do not handle the high voltages these older guitar amps provides. I understand VTL operated most of their amps at very high plate voltages.
