I have heard people saying the Sovtek 2A3 ia as good as any NOS, both on the net and those who used them here in Singapore, I guess I will buy 2 pairs before any thing changed. I have Sovtek 12AX7LPS, EH, and the EH gold. But I did not have the chance to compare them and always thought EH gold is better then EH which in turn will be better then the Sovtek. Guess I must have a serious listen. The EH gold 12ax7 is quite smooth clear and full. So far I bought all the EH gold tubes available. I have just bought a pair of Quad II is relatively nice ocndition with GEC KT 66, 1 ch clear glass and the other brown glass. Tempted to buy 2 pair of KT 66 GEC NOS, but that will cost me US$ 550 or so for quad matched.... I have 2 pairs of Sovtek KT 66 but so far I felt theu sounded a bit dry and dull. May be Valve Art could be better...???
