You can get a lot more current flowing and control through a solid state amp for those low frequencies. Granted, a nifty home theater receiver will sound like crap when asked to provide much current. You need to get a solid state amp that has a nice big power supply. Adcoms work pretty good as sub amps. You are not producing localized frequencies. I would not waste the tubes on 20 to 70 hz.
