but I think you will do better with lower power and efficient speakers. Point thououghly driven home by the Horn system at Oswald's Mill. My 35 w amps plus a meduim sized tube amp for the sub were able to get almost as loud as I would ever want to go. Another inmate with a horn system also did a bit to push me in this direction too, high efficiency and moderate power.
Though I accept the possibliity that you need all 200 watts, in which case I would suggest spending more money and get an amp which is refined like the small watt amps but has the *really* good Iron to get into the 100's of watts w/o the parasitics restricting things too much and colouring the sound. It won't even be close to your 6k target and won't be an 'off the rack' amp either.
