Hi Chris, the amp in question is a Sonic Frontiers Power 2 SE. The pre-amp and CD player were both on but I had not hit play yet. I usually let her warm up for 5 minutes before playing the source. I am going to try what you suggested first before I do anything. The problem is that there was a good amount of smoke that poured out the back. So I'm pretty sure at least one of the trannies is shot. We shall see!! Thanks
