Nobody can tell you which amp to buy. You simply have to go listen and see what you like. Speakers are a major factor and can greatly limit your choices so perhaps you might want to decide on a speaker first. But either way, you have to go listen and find a speaker or an amp that you love and then go from there. Most would say that a directly heated triode such as the 300B is a better sounding tube. However they cost a lot more but last a lot longer (just the tubes not the entire amp) and will give you about 66% of the wattage that you would get form the EL34's.Any CD player will work just fine so that isn't an issue other than to say the better your speakers/amp becomes the less you will be able to tolerate a bad CD player.
By automatic bias I assume you mean cathode bias which is non-adjustable. Usually cathode bias costs less and gives a tad less wattage. Fixed costs more. Setting the bias on most fixed bias amps is very easy and some fixed bias amps don't even offer an adjustment.
For a first tube amp I highly advise you consider vintage. Something like a Dynaco 70 (I wouldn't buy an intergrated). You just can't get better value. There is a ton of help. Great place to start and learn. Tube amps are all about tinkering. Best to start with something that has a proven upgrade path with lots of parts and help around. If and when you decide to replace it you can be sure of selling it for little to no lost dollars and if you buy wisely a handsome profit. Scott, Dynaco, Fisher, Sherwood, Bogen, and Pilot (as well as others) are all brands to consider. But for a first amp that Dynaco is a good one. And with a little time and effort might just prove to be good enough to be your last amp!
Try posting your location and see if any inmates with tube gear live nearby. Even if you have to drive a 100 miles you may well learn more in a few weekends than you could in years at the local hifi store.

P.S. If you really must have a name I would tell you that it would be hard not to like an amp along the line of Lynn Olsens with 300B output tubes.....but you need the right kinda speakers....and you would have to build the amp yourself....and it wouldn't be cheap.
