Hello Don,how much effort do you think does it take to create nice silkscreen stamps/labels on a valve?
I know some OEM who still has the 'tooling' to deliver Siemens, Valvo, Philips Miniwatt, ITT, CSF, and Telefunken stamps on request. This tooling was 'inherited' from a closed factory in Central Germany, toghether with the banderoles for the packaging and some test gear. Sets for stamping various Amperex logos - including the Bugle Boy - together with the 'paint' to put the logos in white or orange - were on sale at the 2001 Veron fair in Rosmalen/NL. Many, many of these stamping tools - original or made for counterfeiting - are around, and nobody stops any enterprising soul to make use of it.
I just hope you did not pay too much for the 'Telefunken' 6SN7GTA - I have visually similar ones with BRIMAR-stamping, pulled out of UK 1960ies MIL kit - with brown and black base... cost per piece 50 Eurocents in 2002...
