I saw a big tube amp for cars at a local auto sound shop recently. Can't recall the band name, but it was 6550 based. Also, it wasn't all that long ago that all car radios and amps were tube. Almost all pre 70s cars had tube electronics in them. Then they went in for the "improvement" of solid state (cough).
