Remember....there are no stupid questions.........
It seems as though my little VTL TL-2.5 is refusing to cooperate. My right channel stopped working. I switched interconnects and from right to left and the problem followed to the left channel. I took off the cover to find that one of the 12au7W tubes is not lighting up. And the pretty silver cap had gone white. I can only assume that white is not good.
The 2.5 has two sets of tubes 6350 and 12AU7W. From what I read on the posts the 6350's have more to do w/ the sound and the 12AU7W's power supply. I'm I correct here?
Can I replace the 12AU7W w/ out replacing the 6350's?
Also, whats the difference between 12AU7W and 12AU7?
Please help if possible and any other hints and tricks would be appreciated.
