I think that's true, it isn't a "drop in" replacement. The operating points probably should be changed on an amp that was designed around bi-plates. Doc B includes extra resistors in the Paraglow kits to reset the fixed bias for the KRs. And despite the lower Rp compared to the bi-plates, Ron Welborne's Moondogs use a 4K OPT instead of the usual 2.5 to 3K.That said, I doubt it's the tube for the fan of the vintage 2A3 sound.
