I don't think the majority of posters were saying anything about right choice vs. wrong choice. One person questions the motives of the poster, while decrying the nature of the comparisons, and correcting what he in his own experience sees as a potentially misleading misconception. Another made a statement about the likelihood that one amp is more dynamic than the other, without personal experience with the amp assumed to come out second in that race. The others expressed their experience with one product, without negative barbs for the other. I don't get a general flavor of Atma-Sphere=Good and Transcendent=Bad.There are a lot of people more than satisfied with the M60. Cool! Aside from your reported happiness with the Transendent amps, there are other hobbyists who give glowing praise to them. Great! Because of the confluence of fate, I opted for yet a different OTL, which also has its share of proponents. Doesn't make one choice right, and the other choices wrong. While for some people this is a business, for those of us who buy the products and enjoy them, it really isn't a horse race. Sincere opinions should all be valued. With the understanding that context is important. The only real hazards (rather than potentially bruised pride or overheated tempers) would be accidental or purposeful smearing or misrepresentation of any given product in question. It sounds like that is what you feared, and it looks like that was the motivation behind a number of the other posters too. The options in retrospect are to see only the differences, only the similarities, or both.
