Quite honestly, the pre-outs are only half of the equation. I also require power-in jacks because it allows me to totally seperate the lower frequencies away from the integrated amp. This in turn makes the integrated more powerful, with less strain in the upper frequencies; it also eliminates bass overlap with the main speakers. Unfortunately, many integrateds have pre-outs, but apparently very few have power-in jacks. :-(Thanks again for your input; I may use Galen Carol for an electronics purchase in the future based on your and other's recommendations. He sounds like a really decent dealer; someone who works with and respects his customers.
