Although the specs will be "worse" if you do a triode mod and/or remove the NFB. Rely on what you hear for a preference decision.The purple wires that are attached to 8 ohm terminals are the NFB wires (they are crimped together with the output trannie wires at the 8ohm terminal). They run from the 8 ohm taps, underneath the power supply board, and are connected near the middle/top of the main board. The are labeled "Left NFB/ Right NFB" in etching on the main board. Just desolder these two wires from the board and tape them off with electrical tape to prevent shorting something out.
The triode mod and/or NFB removal voids the warranty on the amplifier.
