The input sensitivity I was refering to was the amp's. So if an amp has one at 1 volt or lower, that's all that would be necessary for the amp to put out full power.I liked the TT25s becasue the EL84 output tubes in triode sounded really sweet to me and knocked me into next week. Next output tubes I like are the EL34s, then it's a toss up between the 6550s and the KT88s. It's just a matter of sound, and not all VTLs sound alike. They sound very close, but I can tell when I hear a EL84, it's the sweetness.
System lineup:
CAL DX2 cdplayer, Peurreux TU6 tuner, Creek OBH12 preamp, Cary SLA70B Sig, B&W 805s and Marigo Labs interconnects and speaker cables, with a upgrade soon of mixing in some Siltechs. What's your system like? So far as what I've seen, it's gotten be great. It looks like you got things going. How's it sound? Are you having problems getting it to sound right? I would think that combo would sound awesome, but I have found for some strange reason that the McCormacks, as good as they sound, are not as flexible in use with other stuff as my Creek has been. If the McCormacks, MLD or the TLC, had had a full remote like my Creek, I would have got them instead. Let me know if you need any help.
Talk to you soon.
