Interesting question. My Cardinals needed sinal to run thru them to sound their best(about 30 mins), even after they warmed up for an hour or more-I cannot explain it, and I noticed it by accident really. Doesn't matter what the signal is, but it always helped them. I haven't tried it with my new amps, since I got into the habit of running signal thru them before settling down to my listening anyway.
Try this (unscientific) experiment. warm up your amp for say 30-45 mins.,what ever you normally do, and the next day, try warming it up for about 15 mins or so, them run signal thru it for say 30 mins, and see if its any better than normal. I have no idea if it will work for you or not.
